This conference will provide the opportunity for female building and central office leaders to network, build skill sets, and lead forward. Although the number of female leaders in education has seen a slight increase at the building-level, the percentage remains disproportionate in secondary schools and the central office. As the statewide associations for principals and superintendents, we recognize the importance of building leadership capacity to increase the number of women in leadership positions.
The presentations at this conference will all have a focus on the
particular challenges women in leadership roles may encounter in the
topics being addressed.
