MASA is filing a lawsuit against the Office of Retirement Services (ORS) due to the agency's continuing implementation of arbitrary policies that target superintendents by limiting what legitimate and earned income can be reported for retirement compensation. Please note that we attempted to work with ORS to avoid this lawsuit but regrettably, we were not able to achieve any significant policy changes during those discussions.

Beginning with the 2020-21 school year, MCIFN will be implementing a membership structure. The purpose of the new structure is to strengthen programming, promote new membership, clarify and enhance member benefits and flexibility, increase access to MCIFN resources across the state, and maintain fiscal stability. The format of the Network will also shift for the 2020-21 school year to ensure the safety of our members. Our six regular Network meetings will occur as 1-day events spread out over the year and will be delivered virtually.
